Adagio, Dwarf Maiden Grass

‘ADAGIO’ It forms 3 to 4 feet tall clumps of thin green foliage topped by five feet tall plumes. They emerge August in zone 5, and open pink, changing to white. Can be considered a small-scale Gracillimus and well suited for a smaller garden.

Also, a diminutive introduction by Kurt Bluemel, similar to 'Yaku Jima', but superior for its consistent production of inflorescences that extend beyond the tops of the foliage. Leaves green, very narrow. Blooms in Aug, to 5' tall. Inflorescences open with red tints. A good fine-textured choice for smaller gardens. Yellow autumn color.
