the best time to plant grasses?

Warm season ones such as Miscanthus do best
when transplanted near the end of their dormant period up until early
summer but well before the bloom. Typically, in our area this runs
from the first of April through the end of May. After that, it becomes
more risky. Cool season ones do best in the very early spring and
than again in the early fall. Our variety descriptions note this difference.
